About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive, unusual antique citrine and 0.02 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow gold caterpillar brooch; part of our antique jewellery/estate jewelry collections. This exceptional, fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The body of the brooch is comprised of an impressive bespoke caterpillar shape citrine. The citrine is further ornamented with eight chevon-shaped yellow gold settings, forming the ridges along the caterpillar's body. The hallmarked 18k yellow gold main setting features fifteen embellishments modelled in the form of feet, in addition to the catepillar's conical shaped head. The head of the caterpillar is further ornamented with two antennae, each featuring an impressive transitional modern brilliant round cut diamond, collet set to the terminals. This unusual 1950s brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and safety clasp. The reverse of the impressive gemstone brooch is hallmarked with the 18k gold fineness hallmark (18K) and the maker's mark (WING ©). This impressive vintage citrine caterpillar brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true color and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. Condition This unusual vintage citrine caterpillar brooch is exceptional quality, set with an impressive citrine and impressive transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds displaying a fine white color and brilliance.
