18k Gold; inspired by Marc Chagall’s interpretation of angels; approx. size: 2.5” x 1.5” Marked: 18K SCHLUEP plus his trademark signature. All handmade and hand hammered; circa: 2006. Swiss born, Montreal based…An avant-garde artist of the 1960’s, ‘70’s, 80s and 90s. A free spirit who expresses himself through his work, creating passionate & unique styles… transcending time. An unmistakable force in the Modernist & Art Moderne Movement! His works are of very high quality and sought after by collectors. In his heyday, he exhibited extensively and has won many prestigious awards. To this day he has an impressive worldwide following. I knew Walter Schluep for many years and was privileged to have considered him a friend! Sadly, Walter recently passed away . An artist of the highest caliber, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. But his memory will live on through his beautiful works of art.
