Antique Dutch 14 Karat Yellow Gold Pair of Dangle Earrings
About the Item
Antique Dutch 14 karat yellow gold dangle earrings made with filigree technique. Filigree is a very refined technique that uses a thin golden thread to form a lace-like pattern. Each earring features very sophisticated floral decoration and it is finished with four tassels at the bottom. The earrings are made of 14 karat yellow gold (585/1000). The closures are stamped with an oak leaf that is the antique Dutch mark for the 14 karat /585 gold. The earrings are in good antique condition and they will be delivered in a jewelry gift box.
These earrings belong to the traditional Dutch costume jewelry and originally they were worn in a province called Zeeland around 1900. However, due it their beauty and design, they remain a classic piece of jewelry till today and beyond.
