Victorian Large Two-Tone Hoop Earrings
About the Item
A very striking pair of two-tone gold earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! These dramatic earrings are crafted in 15kt yellow and rose gold and are quite substantial in size. A large oval-shaped open hoop hangs in the center, attached to a decorative pillar-shaped link at the top. The hinged surmount has a rose gold surface, which contrasts beautifully with the yellow gold rings, and together, the elongated hoops hang from simple earring wires with hollow gold beads at the base. The earrings have lovely movement when worn and despite their large size, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear. A wonderful example of Victorian-era jewelry, they would make a marvelous addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/4" long, measures 1 1/8" at the widest point and 1/4" at the thickest point. The overall pennyweight of the earrings is 10.5dwt.
