About the Item
A rich melange of an amethyst cabuchon, large faceted citrines, coral and turquoise beads, topped with a carved lapis lazuli 'scarab' are a beautiful example of the work of Iranian born, New York designer Iradj Moini. Unusual and unexpected, but generally winning, combinations of stone , cut and colour are his trade marks, in this case, giving an earring that is sumptuous and stylish.
Iradj Moini began creating jewellery in 1989 in New York. Highly glamorous and adventurous, it is has had widespread success globally. The pieces often use semi precious stones. Having designed for Oscar de la Renta, Iradj’s pieces have also been seen in outstanding exhibitions and and are to be found in some of the finest collections of costume jewellery in the world. The wonderful Iris Apfel is a big fan from early days, and counts numerous pieces in her eclectic collection.
