Pair of Victorian Gold, Diamond and Enamel Drop Earrings
About the Item
A pair of Victorian gold, diamond and enamel drop earrings, each earring set with an old cut diamond to the centre of a gold and blue enamelled star, surrounded by gold frame and suspended by gold hook fittings, the diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.2 carats, circa 1870, measuring approximately 3cm x 2cm, gross weight 9 grams.
Victorian earrings in excellent condition. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold.
A lovely pair of gold and diamond earrings from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales. From the high Victorian period, the rich gold contrasts beautifully with the deep blue enamel and a single old cut diamond twinkles from the centre of each of the stars.
