Pearl Diamond Victorian Drop Earrings
About the Item
A pair of late Victorian pearl and diamond drop earrings, the earrings comprising a natural pearl surmount with two diamonds above, the pearl measuring approximately 6.5mm in diameter, surmounting a rose-cut and old-cut diamond-set fringe of floral and scroll design, the diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 2 carats for the pair, millegrain-set in silver with hook fittings, pearls accompanied with a Gemmological Certification Services report, stating the eight pearls to be natural, circa 1890, measuring approximately 3.9 x 1.5cm, gross weight 10.4 grams.
A pair of Victorian earrings in good condition with minimal signs of wear, the hook fitting and the top diamond are later addition. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold and silver.
