A very stylish, midcentury modern clip by Jose Maria Puig Doria.
Founded in 1948 in Barcelona, Puig Doria was at the forefront of modern jewelry design, renowned for incorporating unusual materials - wood, titanium, even eggshell - into his pieces.
This clip features inlaid ebony on sterling silver. Besides being a clever way to carry one's credit cards, it can be worn any number of ways: in the buttonhole of a lapel, tucked into a breast pocket, as a tie bar. It measures 56.7mm in length and 9.4mm high, and weighs 10.91 grams.
The clip is signed PUIG DORIA and 925 indicating solid sterling silver.
