Important Anglo Indian Gripoix Bib for Chanel
About the Item
Description: Chanel's multicultural embrace of all things luxurious and beautiful crossed continents, cultures and time. The splendors and colors of the royal Indian courts inspire this stunning bib necklace, rendered by studio Gripoix.
Hundreds of handmade beads have been assembled to spectacular effect in this Anglo Indian fantasy. For added impact, certain beads of vari colored turquoise are interdispersed throughout the web. Tiny pate de verre beads and rose cut rondelles complete the Moghul feeling.
The color of the pate de verre turquoises are extraordinary and cannot be replicated today. Glass used for this process had been sourced from Murano, Jablonz and France in the past, but, now these sources have either been depleted or disappeared
