Luxurious Choker Length Gold and Vivid Orange Coral Torsade Necklace
About the Item
This magnificent mid-20th century front closing choker length torsade necklace, has, as the focal point in the front, a beautifully articulated 18k gold plate set with four large orange coral cabochons. The clasp alone measures 1 5/8inches long by 1 5/8 inches wide. The entire necklace connecting to this plate comprises fourteen strands of vivid orange Mediterranean coral beads all with an approximate 3.75mm diameter and with 4mm gold beads interspersed throughout. When twisted to their proper length for wear, the coral strands have a total diameter of approximately 7/8 inches making them appear very, very substantial. The matching pair of coral and gold earrings are shown in the last photo (sold separately). Total gross weight for the entire necklace is 163 grams.
