Monet Vintage Silver Tone Black Glass and Marcasite Tassel Necklace
About the Item
Unusual Monet silver tone faceted black glass and marcasite tassel necklace, with a toggle clasp.
The black glass beads are interspersed with silver tone ridged metal discs. Length 69.5cm, 27.36 inches, with a 9cm, 3.54 inches, five strand tassel.
Circa 1970s, this is a wonderful vintage necklace by American costume jewellery company, Monet. The neutral colours will go with many outfits!
Monet was founded in 1929 by Michael and Jay Chernow in Providence, Rhode Island, and became one of the leading names in costume jewellery design during the 1940's. By the 1980's Monet was producing jewellery for Yves Saint Laurent, and is still a successful company today.
