A turquoise and frosted bead, clear crystal and paste sautoir necklace, 1920s

About the Item

This beautiful beaded necklace, highly characteristic of the 1920s, has a bright and dramatic colour combination of turquoise and black, interspersed with frosted and clear glass beads, and clear paste elements. A single row descends to a faceted glass ring, from which are attached two rows of mixed colours and elements. The clasp is marked DRGM which suggests a German origin, although this Art Deco style would normally be of French origin. Whether worn in the evening or chosen for brighter Summer days, this is a stylish addition to any wardrobe.
