Emerald Set on a Medal Pendant of Joan of Arc, the chunky chain necklace is gold filled J Dauphin
Exclusive piece with Joan of Arc Medal Round Coin pendant in Bronze with an Emerald and a gold filled Chain. Necklace is 24" long but can be made shorter on request.
St. Joan of Arc, byname the Maid of Orléans, French Sainte Jeanne d’Arc or La Pucelle d’Orléans, (born c. 1412, Domrémy, Bar, France—died May 30, 1431, national heroine of France, a peasant girl who, believing that she was acting under divine guidance, led the French army in a momentous victory at Orléans that repulsed an English attempt to conquer France during the Hundred Years’ War. Captured a year afterward, Joan was burned to death by the English and their French collaborators as a heretic. She became the greatest national heroine of her compatriots, and her achievement was a decisive factor in the later awakening of French national consciousness.
In her mission of expelling the English and their Burgundian allies from the Valois kingdom of France, she felt herself to be guided by the voices of St. Michael, St. Catherine of Alexandria, and St. Margaret of Antioch. Joan was endowed with remarkable mental and physical courage, as well as a robust common sense, and she possessed many attributes characteristic of the female visionaries who were a noted feature of her time. These qualities included extreme personal piety, a claim to direct communication with the saints, and a consequent reliance upon individual experience of God’s presence beyond the ministrations of the priesthood and the confines of the institutional church.

J Dauphin was created in 2006 with the mission to offer high quality design, impeccable manufacturing using the finest materials. The founder of the brand, Johanna Dauphin grew up between Sweden and France, in her mid 20s Dauphin left to Rome to study design and then she started her professional career working as a designer for the fashion group Tod’s and then later at the LVMH owned FENDI. J Dauphin has made special collaborations with exclusive department stores and boutiques such as Bergdorf Goodman, Harvey Nichols, Lane Crawford, United Arrow, Matches and Bon Marche. Multiple awarded and nominated as the designer of the year by Swedish Elle And Premium Exhibition in Berlin. J Dauphin was relaunched in 2018 and is now working to create awareness and educate towards sustainable principle in order to promote change within the fashion industry. Her long term vision creating high quality products that shall endure for a long time, zero plastic principles, recycling and repair, Local production, We work with artisans and small factories using old school artisanal methods. We know every person that worked on our items. Our prices reflect what it cost to make products in LA, when supply and demand is in balance, you get fair pricing. We are not any longer doing any platings, or white gold in order to be more sustainable.
