A Victorian yellow gold collar necklace, with interlocking links in diamond pattern, made in yellow gold with hidden clasp, circa 1870, unmarked, tested as 15ct gold, measuring approximately 43 x 1.7cm, gross weight 66 grams.
This antique necklace is in very good condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as 15ct gold, with high carat gold gilding.
A sculptured, and glamorous yellow gold collar necklace comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. With an elegant design of with interlocking links in diamond pattern The flexible and buttery gold links have a wonderful sheen and weight to them. Although this piece was created during the Victorian era, it has a timeless feel to it. This collar sits beautifully at the base of the neck and would be the perfect accompaniment to a formal gown.
