Extraordinary, early Coco Chanel Haute Couture Sautoir by Robert Goossens, Paris circa 1960. Handmade pate de verre beads in emerald and ruby are combined with dozens of gilt and silvered filigree caps, crystal rondels, faux pearls and multi chain form stations.
An iconic, rare necklace from Mademoiselle Chanel's period. An example of this necklace is exhibited in the "Gabrielle Chanel" exhibition in Paris' Musee Galliera and shows how luxurious faux jewelry can be in her hands.
26" length, 1" wide. Drop 4". Paris 1960's.
