About the Item
Light and dark elegant necklace of Amethyst spheres and Kunzite nuggets. Wear this double strand necklace with all your winter wardrobe, at 20 inches it will sit nicely with most collars and necklines. These two strands will sit next to each other or can be gently twisted to create a totally different look and shorter necklace. The antiqued Sterling Silver lobster claw clasp is diamond studded. Amethyst is the February birthstone and is said to protect from intoxication and evil spells. It will calm your spirit and give you focus. Pure quartz is colorless, but the most prized variety is Amethyst, the purple variety. It's always been considered a 'royal color' and is featured in the British Crown jewels. It was also a favorite of Catherine the Great and Egyptian royalty. All this and being absolutely beautiful, what's not to love?! Kunzite was discovered in the United States in the early 1900s and named after George Kunz the world-famous Tiffany & Co, geologist. MN1756

With over 20 years of experience and a passion for travel, Martha and Kathy create bespoke jewelry with curated gemstones from their adventures around the world. Martha lived in Brazil for over 15 years and her travels have taken her to various mining regions within Brazil, South Africa, and the Far East to examine and handpick the gemstones for the Aria Collections. Kathy lives by the motto, "Go Big or Go Home," and fell in love with jewelry design when she met founder Hans Stern, a pioneer in designing jewelry with Brazil's vibrantly colored gemstones, Mr. Stern invited her to his workroom, shared his expertise - and she was hooked. Martha and Kathy met while living in Rio de Janeiro and they have been design partners and friends ever since.
