Edwardian Blue Moonstone and Rose Cut Diamond Necklace
About the Item
An absolutely stunning diamond and moonstone necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in platinum, this unusual piece features eight luminescent blue moonstones of varying shape, each resting in a platinum bezel setting. Apart from the central drop moonstone, the remaining seven are framed on either side by six old Rose Cut diamonds, the cluster of stones coming together as a single link that connects by three fine platinum chains. The chains vary in length to create a dramatic elegantly contoured and draped neckline. The seamless design features a 14kt gold push clasp hidden within the central oval-shaped moonstone and a teardrop-shaped stone dangles below, flanked at the top and bottom by two additional diamonds. This feminine design would look wonderful complementing a stylish updo and would be a gorgeous addition to any moonstone lover's collection!
The necklace measures approximately 15.5" in length along its shortest chain. The round moonstones are approximately 3/8" in diameter on average. The oval moonstone link measures 7/8" wide by 1/2" tall. The teardrop moonstone hangs approximately 1" in total length and measures 3/8" at its widest. The overall central pendant measures 1 1/2" from the top of the oval to the bottom diamond.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. There is a very minor chip on the back of one of the round moonstones. This does not affect the stone's luminescence and is not visible when worn.
