Antique Mother-of-Pearl Gambling Counter Reversible Pendant in Blackened Silver
About the Item
This eye-catching and reversible pendant features an antique mother-of-pearl gambling counter set with a blackened silver bail. Gaming counters, or "chips," such as this one were originally carved in China in the 18th century for export to Britain, where they were used the way we use poker chips. This beautiful gaming chip was hand-carved with a floral design on one side, while the reverse was engraved with a delicate moth, symbolizing long life. The chip has scalloped edges that echo the intricately engraved border. Handcrafted by our Master Jewelers in Los Angeles, this pendant is a unique yet timeless representation of wearable, historical art!
2mm, 16-inch silk cord included.
