Edwardian Opal and Diamond Pendant

About the Item

An Edwardian opal and diamond pendant, the central circular opal is surrounded by old brilliant-cut diamonds in a platinum millegrain setting suspended from a diamond-set bow attached to a white gold chain, circa 1910, the pendant measuring 3.4x1.8cm, gross weight 6.1grams. This exceptionally fine Edwardian pendant comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This piece features a circular central opal that shines with shades of fiery orange, deep blue, and purple. The opal is surrounded by a frame of sparkling diamonds which is suspended from a lovely diamond-set bow. The diamond-set bow is a typical feature of Edwardian jewellery, while the colourful opal adds vibrancy and contrast to the diamonds. This elegant piece would pair well with a silk evening gown. Should you choose to make this purchase we will delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
