About the Item

This is just a stunning Victorian Belle Epoque Necklace with 6 antique Picture Locket Charms each set with red Bohemian Garnets in Heart shape and oval motifs. The lockets and the necklace are gold filled. The lockets all hang from a large jump ring which can be removed from the chain and attached to your favorite necklace if desired. The six lockets are all set with Bohemian Red Garnets. The largest heart shape locket is 1 3/8 inches tall (35mm) not including the bales and is 32mm wide. The rare locket is set with eight round faceted Red Garnets in star motif settings. The reverse has beautifully engraved Victorian initials. The small heart with a garnet halo does not open and it is missing one garnet. It is 15mm by 14mm. The heart locket with flower in the center is missing one small garnet in the center. It is 1 inch tall. The small oval locket has a forge-me-not flower in the center set with pearls with a garnet in the center. It is 5/8 inch tall. The oval locket with garnet halo has a crystal front and is a very early locket, dating to circa 1850. It is 7/8 inch (22mm) tall and is 11mm wide. . The necklace is a Victorian book chain necklace with engraved leaves and berries on each section. The necklace opens at the jump ring. The necklace is 18 inches long and it is 5mm wide. The portion with the lockets below the jump ring is 4.5 inches long. The jump ring is hallmarked 1/20 12K GF for gold filled. The Dog Clip is signed Bates and Bacon. The lockets and necklace date to circa 1850 - 1900.
