Beautiful old NECKLACE, 50s vintage, by FRANÇOISE MONTAGUE, necklace length 40 cm, weight 50 g (very light), length of the central pendant 10 cm, central bead dimension 3 cm, good condition. Françoise MONTAGUE took over the De Saurma jewelry workshop at the end of the 1940s. After the takeover, his most important clients are Nina Ricci and Franck & Fils. D'Orlan Jewelery Ltd. was founded in Toronto, Canada by Maurice Bradden in 1957. Bradden had previously been trained by French jeweler Marcel Boucher who established the Marcel Boucher & Cie Company in New York in 1937. After moving to Toronto, Mr. Bradden started his own business producing his own brands of jewelry as well as costume jewelry exclusively for the Boucher Company. Marcel Boucher died in 1966. In 1979 Marcel Boucher's business was sold to D'Orlan Industries of Toronto, Canada. The workmanship and detailing of jewelry produced from Boucher de D'Orlan molds is of high quality. In 1984, D'Orlan Jewelers Ltd., formed a partnership with Nina Ricci Companies of Paris, France (known worldwide in the fashion industry for French designs and French luxury goods, including perfumes).
