Large Scale 18K Lapis Lazuli Pendant with Mayan Totem Motif
About the Item
This wonderful and fanciful Totem pendant was crafted from an enormous slab of Lapis-Lazuli with three 18k yellow gold Pre-Colombian images stacked, one above the other. The slab itself is framed entirely by hand twisted 18k gold wire terminating on the top with a large bale that is hinged with a figure eight safety catch. The size of the bale will allow for flat chains up to 9.50mm in diameter or other shapes up to 6.50mm in diameter, to be used to suspend the pendant. Measures 4 3/4 inches to the top of the bale by 1 7/8 inches at the widest point across. This is an outstanding and monumental scale pendant, certain to leave a remarkable impression on all who see and admire it. The piece does not bear a gold stamp anywhere, but does test as 18k. Gross weight 87.75 grams.
