About the Item
A massive 30 x 50 mm oval Brazilian Minas Gerais faceted aquamarine is the centerpiece of this truly one-of-a-kind masterpiece. 182.3 carats altogether. This amazing stone is set within a wide, intricately designed high-karat granulated setting with five 2mm VS1 diamonds that required 3 weeks of work by our top artisanal master goldsmith. This resulted in one of the finest pieces we've ever made, suitable for royalty. Aquamarine, the birthstone of March, has a rich color and has long been a symbol of youth, health, and hope. The woven chain shown is not included, but can be ordered additionally. An Incredible piece!

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
