About the Item
A Victorian diamond heart Pendant, pave'-set throughout with old European-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh 2.5 carats in total, all set in silver to pink gold back, with locket compartment to back and old brilliant-cut diamond-set pendant loop, circa 1880, measuring approximately 2.7 x 2.1cm, gross weight 5.2 grams.
This eye-catching Victorian pendant was made in the late nineteenth century and comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This lovely pendant features dazzling pave-set diamonds set to a silver and pink gold back. Diamond heart pendants were popular in the Victorian era for their romantic connotations. This pendant would look stunning on a thick gold Victorian chain.
