19th Century Fossin et Fils Leather Grained Necklace Presentation Box
About the Item
Fossin et Fils Leather Grained Necklace Box from the mid 19th Century. Designed to hold a massive Revivalist Gold necklace with multiple pendants as well as bracelets. Deep Burgundy Grained leather exterior with silk moire and royal blue velvet fitted interior. Original label, Fossin et fils, Joalliers du Roi (Jewelers to the King), 62 Rue Richelieu, Paris. Circa 1850's. 13" x 11" x 2".

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. 5 Hooks which secure the top are missing. One or 2 still exist, the nails for the hooks fittings are intact, but the hooks themselves are gone. One Silk satin ribbon ripped. Normal wear and scratches.
