Antique Japanese Meiji Dragon Cigarette Box Silver / 88 gr
About the Item
Late 19th-early 20th century Meiji period hand-made Japanese cigarette case in fine Silver with relief decorations of Dragons flying in the clouds. These dragons were hand-chased on sheets of Silver with great precision and attention to the smallest details. Double walls. The button on the side releases the lock mechanism, the box will close tightly with a click. Signature of a master in one of the corners. A one-of-a-kind piece of fine work.
Measures 89 mm x 63 mm x 23 mm thick. Weight: 88 grams.
Fine used condition. I found two minor cracks on one head, visible under magnification only.
