Antique Purse Micromosaic Painting Gilt Metal Gold, France
About the Item
This unique and extremely rare antique purse is made out of fire guilt metal. The pouch is decorated with six oval and one round painting on glas imitating roman micro mosaics. The subjects are animals, a flower and landscapes with ruins of antique buildings. The purse is made of twelve finely cut, chiselled and engraved hinged segments. Each segment is decorated with a silver rosette. The segments are held together by a fine gold belcher chain, the ends of which are joined by a ring adorned with tassels.
