About the Item
A gorgeous antique Victorian era hair comb.
It is a two pronged celluloid hair comb in a yellow shade.
The top is adorned with a pretty cut steel butterfly.
Cut steel was popularised in the 18th century, painstakingly hand cut and polished steel cabochons made to resemble diamonds in low light.
A very beautiful piece.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some age commensurate wear,surface scratches and tarnish.
