    In striking contrast, this Mizpah ring was created c. 1870 in 18 Kt gold. In striking contrast with no wear, the word Mispah is raised in gold letters on a darker gold background. The borders are scalloped. A gold daisy is at the middle of the word. Mizpah is from the Hebrew bible meaning watchtower. The loose translation is May God Watch over you while we are apart.
