About the Item
This is an extraordinary antique Art Nouveau, Belle Epoque Rose Cut Diamond Ring in a stunning and very rare Flower motif of great beauty in 18 Karat Gold. The Rose Cut Diamonds are set in a stunning delicate romantic flower design in 18 Karat Gold. The Art Nouveau rings have the most wonderful unique shapes and designs. I just love them and they are so very difficult to find. This is one of the most beautiful with the diamonds set in an open work curving flower and leaf motif. These pieces require artisans of the highest quality to create the jewels and the Art Nouveau period cultivated these extraordinary artisans. The Art Nouveau jewels found their inspiration in the curving forms of nature. This jewel is a delicate, romantic masterpiece of the Art Nouveau period. It is rare to find Art Nouveau rings set throughout with Diamonds and we are thrilled to have found this gorgeous piece. The ring dates to circa 1860 - 1910. The ring is a spectacular antique engagement or wedding ring, cocktail ring or a treasure to be worn every day.
The top of the ring is 3/4 inch (18mm) long and the flower portion is 9mm wide.
The ring is currently a size 6.25 US (M UK) and can be easily resized if desired.
There is a tiny chip off one of the small rose cut diamonds. This can only be seen with a high powered jewelers loop and does not detract from the ring in our opinion but we wanted to mention it.
The ring weighs 2.5 grams.
