Art Deco 0.70 Carat Diamond and Onyx Cocktail Ring, circa 1920s
About the Item
This gorgeous art deco cocktail ring is decorated by alternating bands of old cut diamonds and onyx. The rose cut diamonds are set in vertical bands, alternating with seven The top and bottom of the ring are adorned with rub over set diamonds, creating a rounded edge that contrasts with the straight bands in the centre. The total diamond weight is 0.70 carat, and the diamonds are H to I in colour and SI clarity. The gems are set in platinum. This ring would have been made by hand, and would have required considerable time and skill to complete.
