Victorian Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring
About the Item
A Victorian sapphire and diamond cluster ring, the oval sapphire measuring approximately 10.55 x 6.50 x 4.00mm and weighing 2.71 carats accompanied by GCS report stating the stone to be of Burmese origin with no indications of heating, 12 claw set to a cluster of 12 old brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 1.6 carats in total set in a yellow gold mount with pierced gallery and tapering shoulders, circa 1880, finger size P, gross weight 6.2 grams.
This Victorian ring is in very good condition. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold.
A striking sapphire and diamond cluster ring from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This ring was made in the late Victorian era and features a vivid royal blue sapphire surrounded by a halo of twelve dazzling old-cut diamonds. The yellow gold band and setting brings warmth and shine to this piece. This gorgeous ring would make an ideal antique engagement ring.
