21st Century 18 Karat Rose Gold Sapphire and Diamond Cocktail Ring
About the Item
A 25.80-carat blue sapphire framed by rose-cut diamonds and set in 18-karat rose gold.
An objet d'art, the ring is captivating from every angle. Handmade in the FANCS V studio and using the "cesellato" method, the result is a stunning creation. Even the back of the ring is gorgeous, which makes it as beautiful off as it is on. Blue sapphires are believed to bring peace and contentment to one's soul, as well as trust in the fulfilment of destiny.
The entire ring is approximately 4 centimetres in length and 2.5 centimetres across. It weighs 25.4 grams. Measuring about 1.7 centimetres inside the ring, the photographed ring is 15 EU / 7.5 US but can be remade in any size on request. Custom pieces require about 1 month to produce and can not be returned.

This collection represents an art form that corresponds to the rich history of Sicily's capital city. In the fifteenth century, Albanian immigrants arrived in Palermo, bringing with them a unique method of jewellery-making which relied on a chiselling technique for adding precious stones to metal. This method was taught and shared and preserved almost exclusively within the small city over 600-odd years and despite several invasions of the southern Italian island which brought the materials, fashions and techniques of the Spanish, French and other conquerors to Palermo, many of which influenced the "ceselato" method. What exists today is a jewellery technique unique almost specifically to Palermo.

The FANCS V workshop is situated in the heart of Sicily's capital city, Palermo. The jeweller is a three-generation Sicilian family business owned and run by Simona Elia and her husband Natale Vitale. Created by Natale's grandfather, FANCS V has grown from a goldsmith shop into a design studio where Simona, who trained in Milan, contributes signature collections to complement the custom pieces Natale produces for a dedicated client base. For FANCS V, happiness is defined by the moment you receive your jewel and fall in love with it. Look for the company code PA266 stamped into all gold pieces, which indicate their authenticity.
