Gilbert Albert Sculptural Ring with Turquoise and Baroque Pearl
About the Item
Spectacular Sculptural Ring made with a rough cut Turquoise cabochon, a baroque pearl and diamonds. Unique piece exhibited in Kremlin on the 80s
One of the most innovative jewelers of his time, Gilbert Albert was known for using unusual materials in his work. He was inspired by natural forms and transformed unexpected objects such as scarab beetles, lava rocks, animal fur, and fossilized creatures into unique shapes with an inherent organic quality. Albert combined familiar elements with the rare, effortlessly mixing a seashell, for instance, with gold, emeralds, and diamonds.Between 1958 and 1988, Albert won the DeBeers Diamonds International Awards an unprecedented ten times, three for Patek Philippe, two for Omega and five times under his own name.
