Jewelry Turtle Black Brown White Diamond Hard Stone Adularia 18 Karat Gold Ring
About the Item
This is a very beautiful white gold ring with white, brown and black (their eyes) diamonds.
The "armor" of the carapace is the adularia, a hard stone of the same family as the moonstone, cut and engraved by hand.
The adularia stone is white / sage green, with iridescent reflections. This fascinating effect is visible in the video.
The diamonds are in total 5.68 ct.
The size of the ring is 6 1/4 US, 13 EU.
I gave it a name 'Chelis' in memory of the turtle of Gabriele d'Annunzio ( Italy 1863-1938. Writer, poet, genius and lover of beauty ). That animal died of indigestion. Through a silversmith he created from its skeleton, a silver ornament and he put it on the dining table. Gabriele d'Annunzio used it to remind diners of the need to eat with care.
