Circa 1968, 18k, by Ernest A. Blyth, London. This dazzling modernist ring features a luscious raspberry hued 22.0 carat tourmaline in a meticulously detailed brutalist landscape. The highly dimensional textured surface is juxtaposed with sparkling white diamonds. The look is one-of-a-kind, sixties fashion … Fresh, raw, sculptural, psychedelic! Ernest Blyth was one of the most important British goldsmiths working in the modernist idiom. This ring is perhaps his finest work. Meticulously fabricated, it is in excellent condition.
