About the Item

Presented is a one of a kind piece designed by Vanessa Cocchetto of Talys Jewels of Venise, Italy. Vanessa has created her interpretation of the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet in silver plated brass with enamel accents. Sekhmet is the leonine goddess who is the protector of women and represents their strength and independence. Sekhmet has the body of a woman and head of a lioness. According to legend, she was sent by her father the sun god Ra to punish men who disappointed him. Sekhmet's thirst for justice impressed her father Ra. He was moved by her passion and decided to flood the fields with blood-colored beer. Sekhmet drank it and, as expected, fell asleep, allowing Ra to take her from each into the heavens. She is not only the queen of life, but also, war. She is the one who has the ability to kill and heal. Her name means "she who is mighty". Sekhmet is the Goddess of femininity, strength and autonomy. She will help women find their way, offering our life in exchange, but with the pretense of transparency and fidelity towards it. Sekhmet ring, brass plated, size 19, unisex, gr 22.00
