Platinum Edwardian Diamond and Ruby Toi et Moi Ring
About the Item
Toi et Moi rings are one of the most romantic pieces of jewelry—with two center stones intertwined to represent “you and me.” This intimate symbology has been used for centuries; in this platinum Edwardian ring an Old European Cut diamond sits beside a beautiful natural ruby. The diamond is stunning—it has the high tables and open culet that Old European Cut diamonds are known for. The ruby has a pretty deep pinkish red, and is a variation of an antique cut. Both stones are set with eight prongs. The band of the ring has six Old Mine Cut diamonds, bead set into a lovely swooping curve.
The natural Old European Cut central diamond measures 5 mm and is .90 of a carat. It is K in color and VS in clarity. It is a very clean diamond with an open culet that is visible without a loop and has gorgeous facets. The ruby has natural inclusions and is 5.5 x 5 mm, approximately 1 carat. The six smaller diamonds in the band are natural Old Mine Cut diamonds that measure 1.5 mm each. The ring weighs 3.06 grams.
