Rare Paraiba Tourmaline & Diamond Ring

About the Item

Prepare to be captivated by the mesmerizing incandescence that seems to radiate from within this exquisite piece. Crafted in resplendent 18-karat yellow gold, this ring is nothing short of brilliance. It promises to infuse a burst of color into your ensemble, elevating your style to new heights. Nestled within an Art Deco-inspired setting, you'll find an exceptionally rare oval-cut Paraiba tourmaline, cradled by a constellation of scintillating, colorless diamonds. The Paraiba tourmaline is hailed as the world's most coveted gemstone. This particular specimen is copper-bearing, with subtle traces of gold, rendering it even more extraordinary. Rest assured, this gemstone comes with an official certification of authenticity, confirming its status as a natural copper-bearing Paraiba Tourmaline. Gemstone: Natural Paraiba Tourmaline Weight: 2.7 carats Size (LxWxD): 9.9 x 8.1 x 5.5 mm Clarity: SI (colored gemstones are graded without a loupe) Shape/Cut: Oval, Brilliant Color: Neon Bluish Mint, Paraiba Color (greenish blue with moderate saturation) Origin: Mozambique Setting: Metal: Solid 18K Yellow and White Gold Accents: Diamonds Clarity/Color: VS/F Weight: Approximately 0.50 tcw Shape/Cut: Round/Brilliant Paraiba Tourmalines were initially unearthed in Brazil during the 1980s. Today, the majority of Paraiba Tourmaline is mined in Mozambique, as is the case with this remarkable gem. Paraibas, distinguished by their copper content, exhibit a dazzling neon glow under all lighting conditions. Additionally, research conducted by the German Foundation for Gemstone Research has revealed the presence of gold within Paraiba Tourmalines, accounting for approximately 8.6 parts per million. Paraibas are celebrated and esteemed based on three primary criteria: 1) color, 2) size, and 3) clarity. This particular gem boasts exceptional color saturation, weighing over 2.7 carats, and exhibits minimal inclusions for a Type III gemstone. While moderate inclusions are considered normal for Paraibas, this specimen's clarity is indeed a rarity to behold.

This is a rare and spectacular sphene. Its origin is Madagascar, and due to its chromium content, the color is a magnificent green with major rainbow sparkle. The color for sphene is rare, and usually sphenes are included, but this one is eye clean and has major light prismatic dispersion. Also known as sphene titanate, this is one of the world's most spectacular gemstones. This gemstone has a very high refractive index, and a dispersion (prismatic effect) that far exceeds diamonds. It is commonly referred to as a "Christmas tree flash". Bright sunlight gives you the 'rainbow' color flashes. This gemstone's rare clarity, color saturation and size (above 1 carat is rare), make it one of the rarest of the sphenes. We designed this setting that complements sphene's color and sparks with a 2-sided halo around the gemstone [one with large diamonds that face up, one with smaller diamonds that are at a 90 degrees]. We added a satin finish to draw the eye to the sparkling diamonds and magnificent sphene! Made by women for women. Gemstone Natural Chrome Sphene...
