About the Item

Geometric planetary Kinetic ring designed by Schmitt & Staib. Gorgeous Mondrianesque vintage cinetique ring that spin with every movement of your hand! This mesmerizing and unique sculptural spinner ring has been made in Dusseldorf Germany by the jewelry house of Schmitt & Staib, back in the 1970. Carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and fitted with 3 circular elements of different diameters. Two of them fully movable which spins in their axis, each one is embellished with thick applications of colored hot enamels such; Red, blue and white. Weight: 22.75 Grams (14.58 Dwt). Size: 7.5 and is sizeable. Measurements: 26.5 mm by 30 mm (1.04 x 1.18 Inches) and raise 15 mm (0.59 Inch) over the finger. Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's monogram mark T flanked by ES, the gold assay mark and signed, "TES.750" Note: In 1971 Norman Teufel created the 'swinger' ring. Stainless steel ball bearings in combination with fine jewelry components such as 18 & 14 karat gold and diamonds or onyx gemstones were used to create the unique spinning rings. This is one of the first pieces we see with decorated with colored enamels. We have in our collection other piece with oval components. Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box. Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The enamels are secured in the settings with all parts in full movement.
