14k Gold Diamond and Natural Sapphire Toi Et Moi Ring
About the Item
This modern ring, set with a reclaimed pear and sapphire, is designed in the toi et moi style, first popularized by the engagement ring Napoleon Bonaparte presented to his wife Josephine. "Toi et moi" translates to "you and me," and the two center stones represent each person in the couple. This trend resurfaced again in the 1950s when John F. Kennedy gave a toi et moi style ring to Jacqueline Bouvier, and is back again in recent high profile and celebrity engagement rings.
The 1.02ct pear shape diamond ring is extremely white with an E color, SI1 clarity, which pairs beautifully with the 1.95ct periwinkle blue natural oval sapphire. Each stone is unique and brings its own beauty to the ring, just like two people in a relationship. This is truly a special ring with such a romantic meaning behind the style, and is perfect for the modern bride who wants something a little different.
It measures .9.03mm long at the center; the shank measures 1.74mm wide at the shoulders and tapers to 1.5mm at the back of the ring. It is a US finger size 7 and can be resized, but sizing is not included.
