An exceptional and impressive antique 4.89 carat diamond solitaire ring, displayed in a contemporary platinum setting; part of our diverse diamond jewelry collections. An exceptional and impressive antique 4.89 carat diamond solitaire ring is crafted in platinum. The 4.89 carat diamond solitaire is held in a simple yet effective six double claw / prong setting. The subtly elevated ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain platinum hallmarked shank. The contemporary platinum shank is clearly hallmarked to the interior with the platinum mark [950], maker's mark 'DOM' and the Birmingham Assay office hallmark (anchor). This diamond ring is illustrated with a circa 1960s 14k white gold setting; this can be used as an alternative upon request. The elevated, pierced decorated ring shoulders are embellished with forty eight pavé set modern brilliant round cut diamonds. The impressive eight claw / prong basket setting incorporates a further 6 pavé set diamonds. The alternative setting has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 14k white gold. This large diamond solitaire ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the feature diamond, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the alternative setting. Condition This diamond engagement ring is exceptional quality, set with an impressive and very high clarity graded diamond displaying a fine white color, brilliance and presence; larger diamonds such as this will often appear whiter than the color grading suggests.
