This Striking Authentic ART DECO , Circa 1917-1920, an exquisite handcrafted dinner ring featuring Ocean Blue Oval Cut Sapphire with European-Marquise cut, old cut diamonds and French cut blue sapphires in Platinum. Shy 5.0carat (4.90ct) Natural CEYLON OVAL Cut Deep Blue SAPPHIRE, measuring 10.48x8.70x6.01mm, bearing a recent GIA Certificate stating: Natural Sapphire, Clear with no obvious imperfections and minor treatment such as heating, common for most corundum, all indicated on the GIA report . Sri Lanka (Ceylon) Origin. Beautiful facets just glow when the light hits the Sapphire! Very BRILLIANT! In Art Deco era most Color Stones were man-made Synthetic, this is a NATURAL Sapphire, which is a super rare find! Mesmerizing like the deep blue ocean, the stunning Sapphire radiates from an almost equally stunning platinum ring that is ornamented throughout with masterfully applied decorative engraving with 6 Old European Marquise cut diamonds, smaller old cut diamonds and modified french cut sapphires that set amidst the pierced and milgrained and beautiful details. The accented sapphires is in matching Dark Blue Color, estimated to weight 0.30ct. Six Old Cut Marquise Diamonds and Old Swiss cut Diamonds, totaling to approx. 1.90 carats , F-G Color, VS-SI clarity over all. Total estimated weight is 7.10 carats. The ring is in finger size 7 3/4, can be re-sized. The North to South measurement is 18.27mm, West to East 17.31mm- HUGE! Will cover your finger knuckle to knuckle. The ring reminiscent of a cigar-band style with its low gallery, 3.90mm, the weight of the ring is 6.81 grams, Solid. Crafted in HANDMADE Platinum ( tested), the ring has unreal workmanship!
