Edwardian Emerald and Diamond Plaque Ring

About the Item

A turn of the century emerald and diamond plaque dress ring, the central emerald estimated to weigh 0.35 carat, vertically set with 4 old brilliant cut diamonds on the top, bottom and sides with further surround of smaller single cut diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 1.00 carats, rubover and grain set in platinum mount, circa 1900, the head measuring approximately 1.7x1.2cm, finger size L, gross weight 3.4 grams. This antique ring is in very good condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as platinum with 18ct gold shank, later rhodium-plated. This dazzling Edwardian dress ring was made at the turn of the 20th century and comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This ring features a wonderful platinum plaque in which is set four scintillating diamonds surrounding a single deep green emerald. This gorgeous and classic ring exemplifies early twentieth century sophistication and would be a perfect accessory worn with a simple bias-cut evening gown. The finger size of most of our rings can be adjusted and our workshop will be happy to do this free of charge. If you do not know your finger size please request us to post you a finger measure. Should you choose to make this purchase we would be delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
