Late Art Deco Platinum Asscher Cut Diamond Engagement Ring 1.03ct
About the Item
A stunning diamond engagement ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This gorgeous platinum ring frames a 1.03ct Asscher Cut (also known as a Square Emerald Cut) diamond at the center. The stone is held within a 4-prong setting, and is graded with E color and VS2 clarity. Lining the shoulders of the mounting are four square-shaped Carre Cut cut diamonds, the perfect compliment to the center stone! The accent diamonds are bezel set with milgrained edges, and weigh approximately 0.50ctw with F-G range color and VS1 clarity range. Completing the design is a sleek platinum band that wraps around the back. Accompanying the ring is a Diamond Grading Report issued in December 2017 by G.I.A. (the Gemological Institute of America), which confirms the center stone's stated characteristics. The ring was also appraised in April 2019 by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist, and has a stated retail replacement value of $11,000.00. It's positively breathtaking in person, and would make a very special vintage engagement piece!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5, but could be easily resized if needed. When worn, the center diamond rests approximately 1/4" above the finger. The platinum band measures approximately 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
