Take a Good Look at this Stunning Tsavorite Ring. You Won’t Find Another Like It! The star of this piece is the large, 3.13ct Natural Tsavorite Garnet that is graded ‘Vivid Yellowish-Green’. Tsavorite gemstones of this size, colour and clarity is very rare and we are thrilled to be able to offer it to you! They were only discovered in 1967 in the foothills of Tanzania and were quickly snapped up by Tiffany & Co. Our Tsavorite was purchased during a recent trip to Hatton Garden in London. It is completely natural and untreated, displaying some natural inclusions under magnification which we have captured in the photos and video. The inclusions in Tsavorite are actually a unique, identifying feature of this species of Garnet (seen under 10x magnification). The ring comes with a Lab Report from WGI (The World Gemological Institute) and an Australian Valuation Certificate with a Retail Replacement Value of A$21,000. The ring is crafted in 18ct white gold with a halo of excellent, white diamonds that are graded VS2-SI1 and colour G-H by the independent valuer. They weigh a total of approximately half a carat (.54ct) and make a nice contrast to the green centre stone. This is a solid ring weighing approximately 5.50 grams and is size M which is resizable. The discerning buyer will appreciate the qualities of this gemstone which rivals the beauty of the Emerald and has been kept mostly hidden from the general public since its discovery in 1967 due its rarity. When comparing the Tsavorite with the Emerald, you will notice the intensity of Tsavorite which is lush, vivid green. The Tsavorite is harder too, since it doesn’t have the same growth pattern and fractures as the Emerald, therefore, there is no need for oiling to enhance the clarity or colour of this gemstone. This makes it perfect for everyday wear and suitable for an engagement ring. Given that Tsavorite is only found in Kenya and Tanzania, Africa, investing in this gem has proven to be advantageous too.
