A Nanna Ditzel for Georg Jensen silver ring, Denmark circa 1968
Designed as an elegant curved and undulating silver sculptural form, this ring sits beautifully on the finger, catching the light when viewed from different angles.
Nanna Ditzel (1923 - 2005) was one of Denmark’s most accomplished contemporary designers and the first woman to design for the Georg Jensen Silversmithy in 1954. From 1970 she maintained a design firm and showroom in London, where she displayed furniture, textiles, jewelry, and porcelain of her own design. Her work has been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Danish Museum of Decorative Art in Copenhagen, and the Louvre in Paris.
The ring is a UK finger size O (USA finger size 7 1/2) Due to the design this cannot be resized.
