This virtually flawless 10.66 carat cushion cut rhodolite ring is held in a delicate 18 karat yellow gold setting, showcasing its rare qualities; valued for its rich colour and exceptional reflectivity, this solitaire delivers significant sparkle and colour to any occasion, including ‘the everyday’ if treated with love.
It is believed that rhodolite was discovered at the turn of the 19th century, boasting an assortment of stunning purple-red hues; its composition is closely related to a pyrupe and almandine garnet but, in appearance, its sensuous hue and eye-catching brilliance comes alive in light akin to a spinel. Mined in different parts of the world, the Umba River Valley in Tanzania is known for being home to some of the best quality rhodolite gemstones in the world.
And size matters. The larger the untouched clear stone, the more valuable it is.
