About the Maker - Monica Marcella began working with jewelry at a very young age, crafting beaded necklaces at the dining room table with her grandmother. Always talking about color combinations, pattern, and feel, Monica’s grandmother became her most important source of inspiration and critical insight. After earning a BFA and MFA in metalsmithing and jewelry design, Monica returned home to New York with a vision - handcrafting future heirlooms, all of which would honor the generosity, love, and legacy that connected her with jewels and gemstones from the very beginning. Now an avid gemstone connoisseur, each of her handpicked jewels is ethically-sourced from all around the world. Monica continues to approach her designs with the utmost passion, and each and every piece offers a special visual story with versatile and timeless style.
