K-Over Champagne 21st Century, Solid Pure Silver, Ariosto, Italy

About the Item

This champagne cover is a remarkable addition to our K-OVER Art collection. Crafted from pure silver 999/°°, the artist skillfully depicted a scene from the epic poem “Orlando Furioso” by Ariosto. The cover portrays the captivating moment when Angelica, kidnapped and bound to a rock, is rescued by Rinaldo riding his hippogriff as they battle against a fearsome orca. Lorenzo Foglia, a master goldsmith from Florence, meticulously handcrafted this cover over several months. Employing the techniques of repoussage and chasing, he transformed a single piece of silver into a true work of art. The absence of a reverse side presented an added challenge, amplifying the complexity of the task. Notably, great attention was devoted to the chiseling of the human figures, resulting in exquisite detail and lifelike forms. Lorenzo Foglia’s exceptional talent sets him apart as a truly exceptional artist. Discover the unparalleled artistry and exquisite craftsmanship captured in this champagne cover. As time passes, finding such a gifted artist will become increasingly rare. Embrace the extraordinary beauty of this unique creation, proudly showcased in our K-OVER Art collection. Together with the K-Over you will also receive a special display case. Artist information: Renowned craftsman Lorenzo Foglia was born in Viareggio in 1971. His journey in metalwork began in his family’s workshop, under the teachings of his father and grandfather. He honed skills like embossing and chiseling, which led him to create esteemed pieces for the Royal Houses of Europe and the entertainment industry. Lorenzo is a two-time winner of the international “Art in a Jewel” competition by Florence Gift Mart. As President of Florence’s Silversmiths and a “Master Craftsman” recognized by the Tuscany Region, his accolades speak for his craftsmanship. He’s also known as an “OMA Craftsman” and “Master of Art and Craft” by the Cologni Foundation of Milan. In his recent collaboration with K-OVER, Lorenzo has contributed to the Works of Art project, creating and personally signing each unique, pure silver champagne cover. Dive into the world of refined craftsmanship with Lorenzo Foglia and K-OVER. Technical features: K-OVER is a brand of P.M.P Firenze, a company with more than 40 years of experience in the silverware industry.
